Friday Evening Red Scarlett

Today is the first day that I heard a lawn mower in months. This can only mean that it is officially summer. I had a picnic this friday evening with my dearest friend, Pierce Atkinson, and as we dined on the fresh cut grass that smelled of watermelon, I knew it was summer. The photo is of my outfit of choice for tonight. I'm wearing a nude American Apparel strapless body suit, H&M Scarlett Red trousers, Michael Kors Two Tone Jet Set Watch and H&M braided bracelet. A perfect blend of light, cotton fabrics for a warm summer's eve.

BJ Loves PJ's

A true fashionista never let's her guard down and that's why my bedroom attire is no exception when it comes to looking stylish! I make a vibrant statement each night when I lay my head to rest in my Betsey Johnson pajamas. I originally bought the pajama set for my Mom for Christmas, but couldn't resist my jealousy and returned to the store the next day to buy myself a matching pair. I just had to have this 100% cotton floral pajama set with lace and bow detailing. I'll admit, I used to be a baggy t-shirt and sweatpants kind of girl, but why look frumpy when you can be luxurious and comfortable at the same time? And with a luxurious pajama set, naturally comes luxurious slippers. I have Coach "Carsyn" signature slippers, which are described on Coach's website as "brilliant on the outside, plush on the inside and posh at any hour". I could not have said it better myself. Lined with genuine shearling, they are so comfortable and practical as well, with rubber soles making them possible to wear inside or out.
Quality pajamas and slippers are something that every girl deserves. After a long day at work or school, what could possibly feel better than slipping into your finest intimates?
Sweet dreams xox

Must Watch ! Badgley Mischka Spring 2011 Collection

LINK: http://badgley-mischka.com/spring2011/

I would honestly wear almost every piece of this collection, excluding certain evening wear. Every single article is absolutely charming in it's own way. Mark Badgley and James Mischka are partners in life and business and what a fabulous relationship they have. Their looks can be described as "red carpet destined evening wear", generally produced with lighter fabrics and less construction.
LOVE! Enjoy.

Progress Report Vernissage

A few weeks ago in Dawson's Warren G. Gallery my class put on a photography exhibit. We each printed two large images, prepared folios and invited friends and family for a night of wine and hors d'oeuvres. The night was a great success and it felt so great to see all my hard work in such a beautiful exhibit. It's moments like these that remind me that all my hard work will pay off. There is nothing more gratifying than to receive compliments on my work, whether it be from my loved ones, teachers or a complete stranger. It feels really good to know that my work can influence others and that they enjoy my photography. My fall semester has only inspired me to try even harder in my winter semester. I'm going to really challenge myself to be the absolute best and produce ten amazing images that I'll be proud to have my name on.

Write it Down

As a photographer I am constantly inspired by my surroundings and it always helps me to jot down my ideas and visions. Being a fashion photographer, it only seems appropriate to scribble my thoughts down in a stylish notebook and lucky for me,Christian Lacroix , a renowned Parisian designer has recently launched a stationary collection. The collection includes notebooks, cards and journals and while visiting the Musée des Beaux Arts gift shop after viewing some galleries, I came upon this notebook and just had to have it. I hope that I'm not stricken with writer's block, because I can't resist scribbling in my beautiful notebook!

Montreal Vintage Shopping

Fur Collar $20 - Friperie St-Laurent
Ralph Lauren Blazer $65- Friperie St-Laurent
Chanel Satin Scarf $20 - Friperie St-Laurent

A few weeks ago I went vintage shopping along Saint-Laurent Street with my friend, Jess. With a little bit of research and some recommendations from friends we set off for some great finds. We started at the bottom of Saint-Laurent at "Eva B" (2013 St-Laurent). Eva.B had a vast selection, but ironically this was the store's down fall. There was just TOO much to go through. The clothes were piled on racks and even into what is called "the one dollar pit" - a five foot deep, mounding pool of clothing. Let's just say it was too much to bare. Overwhelmed, we left with no purchases. We continued up St-Laurent stopping at each store that caught our eyes and Jess made a couple great, small purchases. Our final stop, and most desired destination was "Friperie St-Laurent" (3976 St-Laurent). AMAZING does not even define this store. I could have stayed for hours, but unfortunately the store was fifteen minutes short of closing when we arrived. The sales associate-a friendly, middle aged man was very helpful and personable and informed us that all clothing was 25% off! I highly recommend that you should all shop at this vintage store ; it's officially my favorite!
